Wesley Bland is the Intel representative to and Secretary of the MPI Forum for MPI 4.0. He is also co-chair of the Fault Tolerance Working Group. He is a regular contributor to the MPICH open source implementation of the MPI Standard and was a member of the MPICH team at Argonne National Laboratory before joining Intel in 2015. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a PhD in Computer Science under the advisement of Jack Dongarra.
