Biography
Dr. Pieter Hijma obtained a PhD in the area of high-performance computing and is a postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research interests focus on GPU programming of cluster computers and specifically on the tension-field between high-level abstractions and low-level control over hardware that is often required to achieve high-performance.
