George Tsouloupas
Biography
Dr. George Tsouloupas, PhD, (m) obtained his PhD from the University of Cyprus in the area of monitoring and performance evaluation in High Throughput and High Performance Computing. He has worked on several large-scale European infrastructure projects in the areas of HPC, Grid and Cloud Computing. He has worked in industrial research and development on diverse subjects such as IoT sensor data collection for the quality assessment of drinking water, Electronic Health Records, HPC infrastructures and biobank HPC pipeline development. George is the Head of the HPC Facility at CyI. He is leading the HPC operations team and oversees the technical development as well as day to day operational activities of the computational infrastructure at CyI. George has a strong background in HPC, Cloud, and Grid computing as well as expertise in data management.
