Jahanzeb Maqbool Hashmi

Biography
Jahanzeb Hashmi is a Senior Research Associate at Network Based Computing Laboratory, Ohio State University. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University where he conceptualized the idea of "shared address space" communication paradigm for MPI. His research interests include performance engineering, architecture-aware communication algorithms, parallel programming models and runtime systems, and distributed Deep Learning. He is currently working on the MVAPICH2 project where he focuses on architecture-aware hierarchical algorithms, communication optimizations for highly parallel CPU and GPU architectures, and scalable Deep Learning.
