James Clark is a Research Software Engineer in the High Performance Software Engineering (HPSE) group at the Hartree Centre. The Hartree Centre is a research centre that aims to transform the competitiveness of UK industry by facilitating and accelerating the adoption of high performance computing, big data analytics and cognitive technologies. The HPSE group focuses on HPC and novel technologies, such as FPGAs, Quantum Computing, and Cloud. Python is used across many areas, such as building domain specific languages, data science, machine learning, and scientific computing. James’ current area of research involves developing applications in quantum computing and bringing HPC to more users via the cloud.
