Biography
Brent Draney is the Systems Integration Engineer for NERSC at Berkeley Lab where he has worked for 26 years. He was one of the first employees of NERSC at Berkeley Lab and helped to transition it from LLNL to the main Berkeley Lab campus in 1995. Subsequently Brent has integrated 5 generations of computational systems into NERSC at three different locations. Brent has also led the security and networking group at NERSC and has designed and implemented both the physical and cyber connections of new systems. Brent Draney received his BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah in 1991. Brent oversaw the safekeeping of the Exotic Technologies time capsule and its safe relocation with NERSC to the new Computational Research and Theory (CRT) building on the main Berkeley Lab campus.
