Dr. Gürsoy is a computational scientist at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. He is also an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University, and a Fellow of Northwestern Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering. He received his BS degree in 2004, and his MS degree in 2007 from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and his PhD degree in electrical engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria, in 2010. His research focuses on developing new computational methods for x-ray imaging and applying them to interesting problems in biological and materials sciences.
