Maria Garzaran
Biography
Maria J. Garzaran is a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation. She is also the Technical Lead for the MPICH-based MPI implementation for Aurora, the Intel/Cray supercomputer for Argonne National Laboratory, which is planned to be the United States’ first exascale supercomputer. Before that, Maria was a Research Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has more than 70 publications in the most selective conferences on topics about parallel architectures and parallel programming, including PLDI, HPCA, TACO, PACT, CGO, PPoPP, Supercomputing, and ICS. She was Area Co-Chair for the Programming Systems track in Supercomputing 2014 and for the Experiments track in IPDPS 2019. Maria is ACM senior member and IEEE member.
