Mert Hidayetoglu is a PhD candidate at ECE Illinois. He previously worked at Hong Kong University, Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Argonne National Laboratory, and IBM Research at Cambridge, MA. His research interests include principles and applications of parallel processing, fast algorithms, inverse problems, and supercomputing. Mert was awarded with Dan Vivoli endowed fellowship by the ECE department, Givens fellowship by Argonne National Laboratory, and Computational Science and Engineering fellowship by Grainger School of Engineering. He received outstanding poster presentation award at IPDPS'18 and best paper award at HPCC'19. His SC19 paper was selected as the reproducibility benchmark at SC20. His HPEC'20 paper became champion at MIT/Amazon/IEEE Graph Challenge on sparse deep neural networks. As a senior PhD candidate, he is seeking for position in the academic job market.
