Josh is a computational scientist in the National Center for Computational Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge, TN, working within the scientific engagement group. He is interested in large-scale molecular dynamics simulations of biological systems. Josh did his PhD work in Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, contributing to VMD and NAMD development while providing new insight to various membrane-associated systems and processes. His postdoctoral tenure at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory was spent advancing molecular simulation analysis tools and GPU-accelerated workflows to address sustainability and renewable energy questions.
