Biography
Ammar Hakim is a research physicist at Princeton University's Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) and is an expert in computational physics, especially as applied to plasma physics and fluid dynamics. In the field of computational plasma physics his expertise ranges from finite-volume schemes for multi-moment fluid equations to discontinuous Galerkin schemes for kinetic Vlasov-Maxwell equations. Ammar is the lead developer of the Gkeyll plasma simulation package and co-leads the Advanced Computing Research group at PPPL.
