Presenter

Stu currently serves as a Technical Product Manager for Alces Flight. Under his leadership he has progressed HPC cluster environment building towards an open-source, agnostic approach as the field moves towards a multiplatform way of working. Stu started on the ground floor of HPC as a technician and rapidly gained skills in both on-premises and cloud HPC architecture and maintenance. His hands-on approach has allowed him the opportunity to both work behind and in front of the scenes on numerous client projects - including securing Alces Flight’s first HPCwire nomination in cloud HPC for work at the University of Liverpool. When not watching over multiple terminals and grumbling over how to improve on what he’s doing Stu enjoys making bad puns and cuddling his cats.
