Edgar A. Leon

Biography
Dr. León is a computer scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He leads the Testbed Research And New Technology Integration (TRANTI) project, which focuses on research and design of system prototypes to enable high-performance, productivity, and portability of scientific applications in support of the missions of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). His work on scalable systems simulation, power-aware computing, networking, and system noise has been recognized in the scientific community and has made an impact on the computer industry. Prior to joining LLNL, he worked at IBM Research and Sandia National Laboratories. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of New Mexico and is an avid contributor to the field of high-performance computing.
