Kazuo Minami

Biography
Kazuo Minami was born in 1957. He received his Ph.D. from Kobe University in 2017. He was a system engineer in the field of science in Fujitsu Corporation from 1981 to 2000, a researcher in the Research Organization for Information Science Technology from 2000 to 2008, a team leader of the application development team, R&D Group, RIKEN Next-Generation Supercomputer R&D Center from 2008 to 2012, a team head of the software development team of the Operations and Computer Technologies division, RIKEN AICS from 2012 to 2018. Currently, he is unit leader of the tuning development unit of the Operations and Computer Technologies division, RIKEN R-CCS. He is a member of the IPSJ. He is interested in performance optimization and parallelization of scientific applications.
