Jeremy Buhler received the BA degree in computer science from Rice University in 1996 and the MS and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Washington in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He is Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University, where he is also the master's program director for his department. He teaches computational biology and computer science theory. His research interests include algorithms for scientific computing and heterogeneous and parallel computing. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
