Hirofumi Tomita

Biography
Hirofumi Tomita is the team leader of Computational Climate Science Research Team at RIKEN from 2011. He received his Doctor of Engineering degree from Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. He worked in Japan Agency for Marin-earth Science and Technology as a researcher from 1999 to 2010, During this period, he has been developed the global cloud resolving model NICAM, which appears in this paper. His research interests are high-resolution climate modeling. He also takes an intensive effort to understand the essential role of cloud in climate change, using such high-resolution models.
