Prashant Shenoy received the B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1993, and the M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His current research focuses on distributed systems and networking. He is a fellow of the ACM, the IEEE, and the AAAS.
