Dr. Shunichi Koshimura is a Professor of the International Research Institute of Disaster Science at Tohoku University in Japan. He is also a Co-Founder of RTi-cast, a technology firm to offer real-time tsunami inundation damage forecast services to government organizations and commercial clients. His research focus lies in developing advanced numerical modeling and measuring the social impacts of natural disasters through numerical modelling, earth observation and geo-informatics.
