DescriptionIt has been clear for some time that the future of high-performance computing is hybrid, and "hybrid" in multiple senses of the word. Hybrid CPU/GPU, hybrid physics based/ML and hybrid on-prem/cloud are just the most obvious cross-fertilizations of technology in pursuit of higher performance, lower cost and greater ease of use for researchers. This talk will explore the fruits of these hybridizations, the challenges they create for operating systems and some of the solutions that we've found so far.
