 dels and Runtime Systems\n\n\n\nPosition Description:	\nThe Mathematics an
 d Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory seeks a postdoc
 toral appointee in computer science to perform research in optimizing comm
 unication runtime systems and threading systems for large distributed comp
 uting platforms.  The successful candidate will work as part of a multidis
 ciplinary research team involving computer and computational scientists, p
 hysicists, and mathematicians to enable data analysis of simulations and e
 xperiments running on DOE leadership-class supercomputing architectures an
 d facilities.   \n\nThe MCS Division at Argonne National Laboratory is a l
 eader in the design of advanced systems software tools and applications of
  interest to the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Defense and
  various industry partners.  Appointees will participate in a collegial an
 d stimulating environment, including access to multidisciplinary collabora
 tions, world-class software toolkits and some of the world’s largest super
 computers including US’s first exascale supercomputer, “Aurora".\n\nPosit
 ion Requirements:	\nAn expected/recent doctoral degree in computer science
 , or related discipline.  Programming with C/C++ (5+ years’ experience).  
 High performance computing systems (2+ years’ experience) MPI, OpenMP, PGA
 S or equivalent parallel programming models (3+ years’ experience).   Prog
 ramming with accelerators such as GPUs (1+ years’ experience) Experience i
 n the aforementioned topics is more important than the field in which you 
 received your Ph.D.  Good collaborative skills, including the ability to w
 ork well with science teams, other laboratories, and universities. Good se
 lf-motivation to solve problems and grow professionally. Good written and
