 uate Fellowship\n\n\n\nThe Department of Energy Computational Science Grad
 uate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) provides up to four years of funding for studen
 ts pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use high-performance computing
  to solve problems in science and engineering. \n\nThe program also funds 
 doctoral students in applied mathematics, statistics or computer science w
 ho are pursuing research that will contribute to more effective use of eme
 rging high-performance computing systems. \n\nPayment of full tuition and 
 required fees at any U.S. accredited university; $38,000 yearly stipend; a
  12-week research practicum at a national laboratory; an annual program re
 view for fellows, alumni, university and DOE laboratory staff; and an oppo
 rtunity to join a supportive and engaged community of scientific leaders.\
 n\nThe DOE CSGF is open to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents who
  will be enrolled in or entering full-time, uninterrupted study toward a P
 h.D. by the fall start of their first fellowship term. Those selected for 
 the program must also attend an accredited U.S. university.\n\nThe followi
 ng criteria will be used to determine the eligibility of those applying fo
 r DOE CSGF. Measured at the time of application, eligibility will be exten
 ded to:\n\n1. Undergraduate seniors\n\n2. Applicants with no more than B.S
 . or B.A. degrees who are not enrolled in graduate school\n\n3. First-year
  graduate students (M.S. degree or Ph.D. students with out an M.S. degree)
 \n\n4. Enrolled M.S. degree students beyond their first year provided that
  they plan full-time, uninterrupted study toward a Ph.D. at: 1)a different
  academic institution, or 2) in a different academic department \n\n5. App
 licants with no more than M.S. degrees who are not currently enrolled AND 
 who will not have been enrolled in graduate school for two years prior to 
 resuming graduate studies \n\n6. First-year Ph.D. students with an M.S. de
 gree provided that they 1) completed the M.S. degree within two years at a
  different academic institution, 2) completed the M.S. degree within two y
 ears in a different academic department, or 3) prior to current enrollment
  they had not been enrolled in graduate school for at least two years.\n\n
