SUMMARY:An Implicitly Parallel Meshfree Solver in Regent
DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nAn Implicitly Parallel Meshfree Solver in Regent\n
\nSoi, Mamidi, Slaughter, Prasun, Nemili...\n\nThis paper presents the dev
elopment of a Regent-based implicitly parallel meshfree solver for invisci
d compressible fluid flows. The meshfree solver is based on the Least Squa
res Kinetic Upwind Method (LSKUM). The performance of the Regent parallel
solver is assessed by comparing with the explicitly parallel versions of t
he same solver written in Fortran 90 and Julia. The Fortran code uses MPI
with PETSc libraries, while the Julia code uses an MPI+X alternative paral
lel library. Numerical results are shown to assess the performance of thes
e solvers on single and multiple CPU nodes.\n\nRegistration Category: Work
