SUMMARY:LLVM-HPC2020 – Introduction: The Sixth Workshop on the LLVM Compil
 er Infrastructure in HPC
DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nLLVM-HPC2020 – Introduction: The Sixth Workshop on
the LLVM Compiler Infrastructure in HPC\n\nFinkel, Perry-Holby, Brodman,
Leidel\n\nLLVM, winner of the 2012 ACM Software System Award, has become a
n integral part of the software-development ecosystem for optimizing compi
lers, dynamic-language execution engines, source-code analysis and transfo
rmation tools, debuggers and linkers and a whole host of programming-langu
age and toolchain-related components. Now heavily used in both academia an
d industry, where it allows for rapid development of production-quality to
ols, LLVM is increasingly used in work targeted at high-performance comput
ing. Research in, and implementation of, program analysis, compilation, ex
ecution and profiling have clearly benefited from the availability of a hi
gh-quality, freely-available infrastructure on which to build. This worksh
op will focus on recent developments, from both academia and industry, tha
t build on LLVM to advance the state-of-the-art in high-performance comput
 ing.\n\nRegistration Category: Workshop Reg Pass
