SUMMARY:HUST-20 – Introduction: 7th International Workshop on HPC User Sup
 port Tools
DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nHUST-20 – Introduction: 7th International Workshop
on HPC User Support Tools\n\nBording, Gonsiorowski, Tomko\n\nSupercomputi
ng centers exist to drive scientific discovery by supporting researchers i
n computational science fields. To improve the productivity of the user an
d the usability of systems in an environment as complex as a typical HPC c
enter, they employ specialized support teams and individuals. The broad su
pport effort includes basic system administration, managing hundreds of pe
tabytes of data with complex hierarchal data-storage systems, supporting h
igh-performance networks, consulting on advanced math libraries, code opti
mization and managing complex HPC software stacks. Often, HPC teams strug
gle to adequately support the hundreds or even thousands of scientists tha
t are users in these environments; the circumstances can be extremely dema
 nding.\n\nRegistration Category: Workshop Reg Pass
