SUMMARY:Introduction: First International Workshop on Quantum Computing So
 ftware
DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nIntroduction: First International Workshop on Quan
tum Computing Software\n\nHumble, Pakin, McGuigan, Alexeev, Kowalski...\n\
nQuantum computing is emerging as a remarkable technology that promises to
achieve major scientific breakthroughs. This includes solving complex pro
blems whose solutions lie well beyond contemporary and even future superco
mputers based on conventional technologies. Interacting with these quantum
computers, including noisy-intermediate scale quantum devices, for basic
and applied research will require a unique collection of software tools an
d techniques. \n\nThis workshop will explore the software needed to make q
uantum computing practical and accessible. The workshop will focus on the
tools and software for quantum computing with emphasis on realized impleme
ntations. Topics of interest for this workshop include but are not limited
to: languages, programming, compilers, profilers, simulators, debugging,
control and characterization, and other quantum computing software. Topics
not relevant include domain-specific applications of quantum computing, p
hysical design of quantum computing devices, benchmarking or co-design of
quantum computing systems and quantum algorithms unless there is a connect
ion to the topics above.\n\nTag: Quantum Computing\n\nRegistration Categor
